We'll add the wordmark a bit later since I have no stable internet right now and I need to wait for someone else to be available to do it, so don't worry if it takes a bit for your wordmark to show up here!
Have a good day too!!
Hi! I noticed a lot of the phone call questions have missing audio files, would you be able to tell me how to add them? I have a lot of them recorded already, I just have no idea where to start, and I don't want to ruin any of the pages. ;w;
Hello! You'd just need to upload the files here! If you have a bunch of files to upload pick this link, as you can upload more than one file to upload at once! However you need to make sure the files have the correct name before uploading them to the wiki. To best check what files the names have you might want to look at the code of the different phonecall pages. But basically:
I'll take Akira as example now. For the normal phonecalls, the question is named AkiraQ1.ogg, depending on which question it is the number changes up to 3. For the answers it's AkiraQ1_Seiya.ogg.
Again, the number changes depending on the question, and the name of the second Ichu changes depending on who answers the question.
For the special phonecalls the file is named Akira-Seiya Q.ogg and Akira-Seiya A.ogg.
It's Akira's special call to Seiya. Q is Akira's Question, and A is Seiya's answer. For Akira's special call to Kanata it just changes to Akira-Kanata Q.ogg and Akira-Kanata A.ogg and so on.
Make sure the files are in .ogg format, as any other audio format won't work. And please make sure that there are no background noises or anything in your recording.
That was a bit of a long explanation and I apologize, but if you need help or are confused about something don't hesitate to ask me, or the other admins, for help!
What happened to the lines sections with the ichus, it doesn't show "2015" or "2016" and it only shows lines from 2015. Sorry if this is suddenly fixed before you read this. I just noticed. Have a nice day :)
I'm making some Aichuu videos right now, and I was wondering if I can use some of the transparent images and translatations you all made. If so, should I credit them to Ichu Wikia? (or like the name of the active admins?)
I know you all work hard on these, so didn't want to use them without asking.
Of course you are free to use all translations and images posted on the wiki. There's no need to credit for using the translations, however, if you want you can credit to the wiki itself since neither of us admins are responsible for the translations and we got them from various different sources! Just don't claim that the translations are yours, please.
The transparents are from this person and they're asking for credit, so please do remember to credit them.
Hi~ It's been months since I made this post, but I'm finally finishing up my ichu video. I'm making the credit list right now and just wanted to make sure if the link you gave me for the person to credit for transparents is correct? (only because I couldn't find anything ichu related on their tumblr)
Alright! I don't think the ikids need more infoboxes, but I just realized we'd need better looking skill/stat infoboxes for the cards . Or at least I think we should change the current ones Anyways I'll let you run wild with the infoboxes and patiently await the result!
Well their respective senior is already listed in the ikids profiles so I don't think it's necessary to list them down again. Not sure what exactly could be nice for the card pages tho... I thought about adding a link to the cards' affection stories in on the card pages but where
Hello Hello! Of course I still remember you!
Yep, a lot has changed, it's been a while since the wiki started after all. And yep! Of course we kept your infobox, it's a great one so there's no need to change it!
I'm sorry for interrupting/randomly jumping in, but you could help out with the appearance tabs if you like!! Several characters have been completed, but there is still quite a bit to be done! (I know this is pretty minor, but it would make the pages look more complete XD)
Really loving this wiki so far, it's very informative and the translations help immensely with my experience in playing this game.
A small question, however. With most Japanese games like this, the "player" in this case the Producer, is usually left "gender-interpretive" per inclusion for all players to enjoy. I see that you've automatically designated this character as female.
Is there a segment of the story line where the Producer is confirmed for female? If so, I apologize, it just seemed a bit unusual.
If at all possible, a slight edit from "she/her" to "they/them" would be appreciated. (If you don't have time for that, however, I'd be more than happy to go through and do it!)
We didn't choose to portray the producer as female, the producer is female. She even has a canon design (not shown ingame, though). It's also stated in the title of story chapter 6 (Josei producer/Female producer), and in the answers to Akira's third phonecall question the producer is adressed as a woman too. To clarify the thing with Akira's phonecall question; some Aichuu like Tsubaki and Satsuki use the term "onna" when they are talking about the producer, which is the term for woman/female. We know some aren't really happy with the use of she/her but it's canon that the producer is a woman. And this game is also an otome game, which are usually directed towards women. So, I'm terribly sorry but no, there won't be a change from she/her to they/them. I hope you understand.
Well I'd need an active admin who should know a bit of coding too (I don't expect you to know everything, I don't know that much either, but the more you know the better). So if you're gonna be active on here and can and will work on your own then I can make you an admin.
Oh! I'm familiar with Python, C#, and HTML. It's part of my requirements for my major so I hope I can be helpful there, or atleast figure it out. Aichuu is my main hobby so if I can help out on the wiki I want to.
So the story pagse seem to be a very direct translation from the Japanese and I am here to request permission to edit them a bit so that they read better in English. For example in Chapter 1-2 the wording of "Are you half?" comes off very awkward, and without reading on in the conversation it's incredibly hard to work out what it actually means.
I'd like to, if you'd allow me, change the wording of it and make it more natural to read.
Hello! First of all, sorry for the late answer. Yes, you are allowed to change the wording, if, the context of the translation doesn't get lost. If I feel that the changed wording doesn't fit I'll change it back, alright? But sure, go ahead and change the wording.
